The Kokoda Track marks the course of one of the most important battles for Australians in the Second World War. Between 21 July and 16 November 1942, the Australian Army halted the furthermost southward advance by Japanese forces in Papua New Guinea and then pushed the enemy back across the mountains. It is one of the most striking places of Australian wartime history that can be visited.

The men who defended this rugged 96km track were the only line of defence protecting Australia from imminent invasion. Their bravery and the hardships they faced are now the stuff of legend and now you can honor their memory and directly help our modern day defenders by taking part in the ‘March On with Soldier On – Pinnacle challenge’.

Soldier On has teamed up with world leading Kokoda experts at Charlie Lynn’s Adventure Kokoda to offer you the ultimate experience.

Your trek will follow the footsteps of the brave as they fought one of the most desperate series of battles across the Owen Stanley Ranges from Kokoda to the doorstep of Port Moresby at Imita Ridge.

You’ll be led by experienced Adventure Kokoda trek leaders with a detailed knowledge of the wartime history of the Kokoda campaign. They understand the Principles of War; the strategy of the Kokoda campaign; and the tactics of each battle which they will explain at each site.

The Trek will cover all the major battle sites at Imita Ridge, Ioribaiwa Ridge, Brigade Hill, Templeton's Crossing, Eora Creek, Isurava, Deniki and Kokoda where you will receive detailed historical presentations.
