This year Guy and Sarah are entering the 42.19 km Marathon and 21.1 km half Marathon's on Sunday October 15th.
We decided to put our efforts towards a good cause, and would like to raise money towards the Soldier On charity. Guy is currently a serving member of the Australian Army as a registered nurse, and so this charity relates to us on a more personal level. Whilst we consider ourselves to be fortunate enough to live healthy and happy lives, we know this is not the case for a large number of past and current serving members and their families. Whether it be due to harrowing experiences on deployment, or struggles and hardships faced on home soil, thousands of members of the military battle physical and mental disabilities every single day.
We believe that every person has the right to live life to its fullest, and that resonates especially with members of the armed forces. They dedicate so much of their lives in serving our country, and we believe that they deserve the best care, support and treatment when its needed most.
Soldier On supports those in the military who have been wounded, and start them on a journey of recovery through the provision of an extensive range of treatments and services. This support also extends to the member's loved ones.
Please show your support by making a donation of any sum (no amount is too great or small!), so that we can show our troops that we've got their back.
